Kidcon web 1080x564

KidCon is the annual kids' experience at Bethany Conference. Our theme this year is Power Up: Raise Your Game. Designed for kids, KidCon will keep kids engaged with powerful and energetic worship, games, and a main lesson tying back to the theme for the week. During the day, kids will experience larger than life fun with inflatables, crafts, games, and a few fun surprises... even a water day! We can't wait to see you there!

One of our core values in the NextGen ministry at Bethany is to provide SAFE and FUN environments, where kids/students can encounter God. To be successful in this, we'd like to request your help in the following:

  • Your children must be checked in by their parent/guardian for the service you attend.
  • Only an adult or sibling over the age of 18 may pick up a child from a service.
  • Children will only be released with the pickup tag that has the current date.
  • If you lose or misplace your tag, you must come to the registration desk with your ID to reprint your tag.
  • If you have any questions, please text Questions to 99000.

KidCon will be held at our Warehouse building on campus at Bethany Church’s South campus. Attached, you will find a map outlining the dropoff and pickup routes for KidCon. To further aid you, here is a list of suggested actions that you can take:

  • Put on your hazard lights to indicate your need to pick up or drop off your child
  • Have your parent pick-up tag ready when you arrive at the KidCon building
  • Know which color wristband your child is wearing

Do I need to pick my kids up for lunch?
You do not need to pick up your kids for lunch. KidCon will be providing lunch and snacks for attendees (see schedule for menu options). If you so choose, feel free to pick up your kids to have lunch with them, but it is not required that you pick them up during this time.

What times do I need to come pick up my child?
The only times that you are required to come pick up your child are after the afternoon sessions that end at 4pm and at the end of the night session. We do realize that some sessions may end at a different time than scheduled, so we do ask that you are heading towards the carpool line NO LATER THAN 20 minutes after the session ends. The only exception to this is Thursday night; we ask that you be in the carpool line no later than 30 minutes after the last session ends.

What do I do if I lose my pickup tag?
If you lose your pickup tag, have your ID on hand. We will need to check your ID with the guardian name that we have in our system. One way to help with this is to take a picture of your parent tag each time you check in. That way, you’ll have your tag even if you lose the physical copy.

What do I need to send with my kids for water day?
Please send your child with a change of clothes, a towel, and a bag to put their wet clothes in. A pair of sandals is also recommended.

What do I need to send with my kids for field day?
We encourage you to send your kids dressed in lightweight, breathable fabrics that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. We will be outside for a majority of the morning, and temperatures in Baton Rouge can climb pretty high. We will have plenty of water, cool snacks, and tents provided for them to make sure that they stay cool even in the heat. We also suggest that your child wear athletic shoes for the day.

My child has allergies; is there a consideration being made for them?
We love to provide a safe environment where your child can enjoy their experience! KidCon is held in a peanut free facility and will also provide both dairy free and gluten free options for kids for both lunch and snacks. If you need any other diet considerations for your child, please text Questions to 99000.

Can I send someone else to pick up my child?
We aim to have safe and secure environments where kids can experience God. Because of this, we only allow children to be picked up by a parent or guardian above the age of 18 who has been input into our system. This parent or guardian will also need to have the child’s pickup tag to pick up your child.

If I am a Bethany member, do I need to pay and do I need to sign up?
Bethany conference is free at night to all Bethany members. If you want to attend during the day, however, you must sign up online. You can sign up and pay at

What is the pajama party on Thursday night?
Often, we love to have themed nights to help create waves of excitement among the kids who attend. Thursday night, we want all kids to come dressed in their coolest pajamas; the ones that they love to show off to all their friends! At the end of the night, kids will be able to munch down on popcorn and watch a movie with their newfound friends as they wait to be picked up by their parents. It also makes for a smoother transition to bedtime for you after a long night!
